Steve Maslen

Steve is the club's Head Coach and Club Manager. He specialises in the club's performance players and performance programme and has a proven track record of producing players to a National Standard. Steve is the Director of Coaching for the South Devon College Tennis Academy, where he works with players who are on the LTA AASE programme and has recently graduated with a PGCE (PCE) in Postgraduate Education.

Kevin Durney

Kevin is the Schools to Club Co-ordinator. He delivers mini tennis to local primary schools and actively forms strong links between the club and schools. Kevin is a diverse coach and is happy working with all areas of tennis coaching. He is a newly qualified Senior Performance coach and delivers high quality sessions to the clubs performance players.

Jonathon Blanchard

Jon is a popular coach with both our junior and adult membership. He works with a very relaxed attitude and this is a quality well received by his players. Jon works full time within a school environment and also works with some of the club's performance players. Jon has a loyal following of players at the club who obviously enjoy his relaxed approach and expertise. Jon's other passions are surfing and taking in the great outdoors.

Tracy Brown

Tracy is a D.C.A level 3 coach who takes an active role in the clubs junior section, coaching a large no. of the clubs mini tennis players from beginner to performance. She also has a strong involvement with the Adult beginners and improvers. Tracy is also the club competition organiser and regularly offers a variety of competitive opportunities

Matt Sargent

Matt is a graduate of the South Devon College Tennis Academy where he relocated from Birmingham to attend the course five years ago. He has established himself at the club as a versatile coach and is currently the clubs Mens Captain, where he plays at number 1. Matt has recently upgraded his coach qualification and is keen to develop his career as a quality tennis coach.

Kendal Brown

Kendal currently holds the Devon Ladies, Junior and Senior titles in singles and doubles. She is an active member of the Devon Ladies team and regularly competes at British Tour events. She recently completed her Btec National Diploma in Sporting Excellence at South Devon College along with the AASE Apprenticeship Scheme. Kendal has a keen desire to work within all areas of coaching and has already built a good player base within the club.

Adam Cooper

Adam is a qualified level 2 coach and has been playing tennis since he was 4. He is originally from Wolverhampton and moved to Torquay to attend the South Devon College Tennis Academy. Before the move he was ranked the number 1 junior in Staffordshire and has recently held the number 1 position in the Devon Mens rankings. Adam is a keen coach and is enjoying his start to a new career, 'pro hitting,' for some of the clubs best juniors.
